Ordering Information
Buyers must specify:
- ASTM designation (B466 or B466M).
- Alloy (UNS number).
- Temper (e.g., annealed, as-drawn).
- Dimensions (OD, wall thickness, length).
- Quantity (total length or number of pieces).
- End finish (e.g., plain, beveled).
- Certification/Test Reports (if required).

Material Codes and Chemical Composition
- UNS C70600 (90-10 Cu-Ni):
- Cu: 88.6% min, Ni: 9.0–11.0%, Fe: 1.0–1.8%, Mn: 1.0% max.
- UNS C71500 (70-30 Cu-Ni):
- Cu: 65.0% min, Ni: 29.0–33.0%, Fe: 0.40–1.0%, Mn: 1.0% max.
- Trace elements limited to prevent detrimental effects.
Mechanical Properties
- Tensile Strength, Yield Strength, and Elongation requirements vary by temper and alloy.
- *Example (Annealed C71500)*:
- Tensile: ≥380 MPa (55 ksi)
- Yield: ≥170 MPa (25 ksi)
- Elongation: ≥30% (2 in. gauge).
Dimensions and Tolerances

Inspection and Testing Requirements
