Scope  
- Covers seamless pipe and tube made from nickel-copper alloy UNS N04400 (commonly known as Alloy 400).  
- Applicable to general corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant applications, including condensers, heat exchangers, and other high-performance systems.  
- Two unit systems:  
  - B165: Inch-pound units.  
  - B165M: SI units (metric).

    Ordering Information

    Orders must specify:  
    - ASTM designation (B165 or B165M) and year of issue.  
    - Dimensions (outer diameter, wall thickness, length).  
    - Temper (e.g., annealed, cold-worked).  
    - Surface finish (e.g., pickled, polished).  
    - End finish (e.g., plain, beveled).  
    - Certification/Test Reports (if required).  
    - Additional testing (e.g., hydrostatic, nondestructive testing).

    Material and Chemical Composition

    - Alloy UNS N04400:  
      - Nickel (Ni): ≥63.0%.  
      - Copper (Cu): 28.0–34.0%.

    - Nondestructive Testing (NDT): Eddy current or ultrasonic testing if required.  
    - Visual Inspection: Surface imperfections must not exceed specified limits.

    Certification & Marking

    - Certification: Manufacturer must provide a Certificate of Compliance with test results.  
    - Marking: Each tube/pipe must be marked with:  
      - ASTM standard (B165/B165M).  
      - Alloy (UNS N04400).  
      - Heat number.  
      - Size and temper.  
      - Manufacturer’s name or trademark.
